La cinta Scotch\u00ae 23 puede usarse como un aislante para aplicaciones de bajo voltaje y como aislante para empalmes hasta de 69,000 volts.<br \/>\nnLa cinta de hule para empalme Scotch\u00ae 23 cuenta con mejores propiedades f\u00edsicas y el\u00e9ctricas que no se ven afectadas por el grado de estiramiento. Esta cinta es muy resistente a las fracturas, grietas y resquebrajamiento cuando se expone a entornos de interiores o exteriores. Est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para empalmar y sellar cables cuyas sobrecargas de emergencia puedan llegar a 130 \u00b0C. Esta cinta auto-fusionable de caucho de etileno propileno de alto aislamiento de voltaje tiene un revestimiento de piel de serpiente que se quita con facilidad cuando se aplica la cinta.
